The 34th stamp in the Literary Arts series features a portrait of Bellow in front of a Chicago street scene. Behind him are the city’s skyscrapers, with the “L” train running between the buildings. Illustrator Joe Ciardiello created the art with pen, ink, and watercolor on watercolor paper.
The Saul Bellow stamps are being issued as Three-Ounce stamps. Like a Forever stamp, this stamp will always be valid for the rate printed on it.
